The project Live and Learn, which ran from 2018 to 2023, aimed to build a network that supports healthy aging at home, strengthens participation and social connections, reduces feelings of loneliness, and responds to seniors’ need for knowledge in new life situations — all while contributing to a more active region. The project was interactive and bilingual (Finnish and Swedish), and took place in the Jakobstad region through a collaboration between Hötorgcenter / Jakobstads Åldringsvänner r.f. and Novia University of Applied Sciences.

Targeting older adults aged 65 and up, the project addressed the need for knowledge during life transitions. This was achieved by co-creating tailored, bilingual learning opportunities designed specifically for seniors.
