In a world that’s rapidly becoming more digital, professionals also need to continuously develop and maintain their digital skills. Service design and client-centered approaches are key to future digital solutions in social and healthcare services. But to be able to develop and make the most of digital technologies, solid competence in the field is essential.
The Sotepeda project was a national project that ran from 2018 to 2020, involving as many as 24 universities of applied sciences across Finland. The goal was to strengthen the skills of teachers, students, and professionals in various areas, including:
- using, managing, and developing digital services and structures in social- and healthcare
- creating an ethical framework for working in digital environments within social- and healthcare
- defining what digital competence means in the context of social- and healthcare
- building a flexible, digital living lab-learning environment
- developing educational solutions and models to support multiprofessional digital competence in the field
Throughout the project, open educational resources, courses, recorded webinars, and a wide range of publications were developed and produced. You can find all the materials on the project’s website.
