Kompetens.fi is a hub for competence-enhancing materials produced by the Faculty of Health and Welfare at Novia University of Applied Sciences. The faculty is currently located in two cities: Vaasa and Turku.
The content on this website has been created within various projects, through educational activities such as thesis work, and often in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Today, competence development is not only an opportunity but also a necessity. It supports personal growth and employability, and in the long run, it is a key factor in the survival of organizations. Competence development improves the quality and efficiency of work and also fosters creativity and innovation. The aim of our website is to provide professionals, future professionals, and other interested individuals with engaging, valuable, and competence-enhancing materials. Many people have busy workdays, and there is often a lack of time or resources for professional development. That’s why it’s important that relevant, competence-building materials are easily accessible. Our vision and mission are to create a platform for accessible competence development.
This website was created as part of the project Kompetensbanken during the years 2023–2026. The project is funded by Brita Maria Renlund’s Foundation, Sundell’s Foundation, and Eschnerska Frilasarettet sr.
